Important Information About Treatment in the Czech Republic

Infertility treatment in the Czech Republic follows strict legal guidelines.

  • Legislative & Age Restrictions
By law, assisted reproductive methods are intended for heterosexual couples only. The upper age limit for women undergoing treatment is 48 years and 364 days. Once a woman turns 49, treatment cannot be performed.
  • Use of Donated Cells
When it's impossible to use your own eggs or sperm, we offer comprehensive and secure treatment through anonymously donated cells.
  • Treatment Safety & BMI Limit
For safety reasons, our physicians recommend maintaining a healthy weight. The BMI limit for IVF with own eggs is 35. For treatment with donated eggs or embryos, the recommended BMI limit is 40.
  • Health Insurance Coverage
Czech public health insurance can reimburse women up to 39 years and 364 days 4 IVF cycles, provided that only one embryo is transferred in the first two cycles. Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is reimbursed up to six cycles for 1 woman, with an upper age boundary of 48 years and 364 days.
