Who benefits from treatment with a donated embryo?

A donated embryo is a solution for couples where neither partner can provide their own gametes for various reasons. It is a suitable option in cases where:

  • The woman has poor-quality or insufficient amount of eggs AND the man has very poor-quality sperm or no sperm at all.
  • Both partners are carriers of a genetic disease that they could pass on to their offspring, and PGT-M genetic testing is not possible or ineffective.
  • The couple has undergone several unsuccessful IVF cycles with their own cells.
  • Patients prefer to use a ready-made embryo for personal or other reasons.

Quality and safety: The advantage of embryos from Gennet

The success of your treatment depends directly on the quality of the embryo. At Gennet, we prioritize safety and careful donor selection.

Rigorous screening and donor selection

All donated embryos come from young, healthy donors who have undergone strict medical screening.

  • Legal Framework: Donation is completely anonymous and regulated by Czech law.

  • Health and Genetic Testing: Female donors (ages 18-34) and male donors (ages 18-39) undergo extensive medical and genetic evaluations, plus tests for sexually transmitted diseases.

  • Careful Matching: Our team selects the best-matching embryo based on blood type and physical traits (phenotype) such as eye color, hair color, and height.

Guarantee program for success

We offer a unique guarantee for your peace of mind. We guarantee the creation of a blastocyst-stage embryo suitable for transfer. You only pay for embryos that are actually transferred, and if the first and second cycle is unsuccessful, you are eligible for a free additional cycle. See full details in the pricing section.

Treatment Process: Your 3-Step Guide

Embryo donation IVF is simple and minimally invasive for recipients.

Step 1: Preparation Phase
Step 2: Embryo Transfer
Step 3: Post-Transfer Support and Pregnancy Test

Step 1: Preparation Phase

During the initial consultation, the doctor will discuss everything you need to know and plan your treatment. You will then undergo a short preparation of the uterine lining (performed during your natural cycle or a hormonally stimulated cycle), to optimally prepare your lining for embryo transfer.

Step 2: Embryo Transfer

The selected, thawed embryo is gently transferred into your uterus. This painless, anesthesia-free procedure takes just a few minutes, and you can go home shortly after.

Step 3: Post-Transfer Support and Pregnancy Test

You will continue the intake of medication to support implantation. A blood test performed 14 days after transfer will confirm pregnancy. If successful, you will be referred to your gynecologist after confirmation of fetal heartbeat.

„Our journey was long, and deciding on embryo donation wasn't easy. But it turned out to be the best decision we ever made. We are deeply grateful to the donors who gave us the most precious gift -- life. Thanks to them, we became parents to our beautiful son, and we'll be forever thankful.“
