Changes in assisted reproduction law

On 6th November 2011 the Parliament of the Czech Republic approved a package of reform acts which concerns assisted reproduction and supersedes the previous legislation. According to the approved modification only women under the age of 50 years may undergo assisted reproduction treatment. The law also contains temporary provisions and patients already undergoing treatment will probably have the possibility of transferring embryos that have already been created. The law also changes the way in which unused embryos are handled. This law should come into force in the first quarter of 2012.
