Womans examination
Demonstration of ovulation
Regarding the ovulation demonstration, the doctor uses ultrasound to monitor the level of the endometrium in various phases of the menstruation cycle and checks, whether there are follicles in the ovary and whether these are maturing or not.

Orientation examination of Fallopian tube patency using ultrasound
In our CAR we perform the orientation test of the Fallopian tube.
It is the simplest examination method of the fallopian tube patency. We infuse a contrast medium into the cavum uterum, which then shows up in a distinct colour using the ultrasound. Thus we can see whether the Fallopian tubes are patent or not. The procedure is performed in an ambulatory form. It is a painless examination in the gynaecologic position.
Postcoital test
This simple test is performed as an ambulatory method in the period of concept optimum (in the ovulation period). It shows us if the mucus of the cervix is patent for the partner’s sperms (i.e. if the sperms are able to get into the uterus and the Fallopian tube, where they can fecundate the ovum).
It is performed as an ambulatory method in the gynaecologic position. The doctor collects a small sample of mucus from the cervix, which is then applied onto a glass slide. An embryologist in the laboratory then searches for movable sperms in the sample under a microscope. If he/she finds them, the test is negative, i.e. everything is in order and the mucus is patent for the sperms. If movable sperms are not in the coat, it means that the mucus is a barrier, which the sperms are not able to penetrate.
How to prepare oneself for the test?
The test must be performed maximally in 8 hours after an unprotected intercourse. Thus you can make an appointment at the counselling room according to your time possibilities.
Immunologic examination
The immunologic examination consists of collection of a blood sample, from which it is found whether there is an antibody in the woman’s organism, which acts against becoming pregnant or against the embryo implantation. Antibodies against sperms, ovaries, zona pellucida and against trophoblast are examined.
In case the body does contain these antibodies, the patient is administered immunosuppressive drugs to lower or block their effects.
Hysteroscopy, laparoscopy
These are the so-called microsurgical methods, which have their place in the diagnosis and treatment of a reproductive problem. From September 2006 they will belong to the spectrum of services provided by our workplace.
We will therefore not have to refer our clients to other workplaces as we will have everything "under one roof".
We hope that a complete service will be more pleasant for our clients and that our doctors will have an overview over their patients from the beginning of the treatment to its completion.
We will inform you about the exact time of the opening of a new operation theatre on our web pages.
